Distance Learning at RJ

From School Leaders

"Well isn’t this a change. For me, distance learning has been different but a good experience to have. So far, it has been a challenge to motivate myself, causing lapses of concentration here and there but it is teaching me good skills to learn individually. My eyes are so dead from consistently looking at a screen all day but I am getting used to it, slowly but surely. We are so blessed to be in the current situation we are in, to have the ability to go day by day and still participate in Year 12 is a blessing. I hope to see everyone soon." Andrew (School Captain)

Distance Learning from Home

At Home with Marsden Park

"3/4M is off to a wonderful start in their Distance Learning, ready to tackle this new style of learning with enthusiasm and School spirit. Elena and Brianna even donned their School Uniform to make it feel more like School while working at home! One parent in 3/4M commented on Seesaw, “Looking forward to this adventure!”. We are staying connected through Seesaw by sharing our learning together and a Bible devotional called “Thoughts to Make Your Heart Sing!” to encourage us to look to Jesus in this time."

At Home with Oakhurst Primary

"We all have seen the recent circumstances unfolding in our lives and School community due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. It gives us a great satisfaction on how School under the leadership of our Principal Mr. Cockrem has handled the situation with least or minimum impact to education. We wanted to thank the teachers and staff on successfully rolling out the distant learning program for all the students. Here is a photo of Ridhima (Year 3) saying thank you and ensuring continuity in learning and education."

At Home with Secondary

“I just would like to say, a big thank you to all the teachers who put in effort in getting work ready for us. It was a big transition and I can imagine the pressure and stress teachers were under, so thank you so much and God Bless you and protect you.” Marilyn (Year 9)

“I appreciate the effort you are putting in to online lessons and for us." David (Year 12)
