Partnerships are important.

In fact, the Bible instructs us that two are better than one (Ecclesiastes 4:9). If people work in partnership with each other, than the outcomes can be much greater. Global companies are big on alliances and partnerships to achieve their corporate goals. Likewise, any partnership benefits when people are on the same page.

Welcome to Term 2! After having been absent last week, I feel that my term has begun with a flood of activity and questions. I know the Secondary camps last week were very successful, and holidays seem to fade into past memory very quickly. It was also exciting to hear that the Education Week activities were so successful in Primary at Oakhurst and Marsden Park. I was also impressed by the special effort made by several students and their families to attend the Dawn Service at Riverstone on ANZAC Day and seeing the dignity and respect of students at our own service on Tuesday.

GREAT START TO TERM 2

RJ Primary Oakhurst students have had a great start to Term 2. Already we have enjoyed the ANZAC Day Assembly, our first set of House meetings and our Open Morning. I would like to especially welcome new students and their families who have joined our community this term.

From the Head of Primary - Marsden Park

Thank you for your attendance at Education Day (Celebrating Learning) last Thursday. It is our desire to work closely with all families. I wanted to say thank you for Term 1 as this was my first full time term. I found the community has welcomed me and has been such a pleasure to get to know you. As Term 2 is underway students are now starting to consolidate their learning.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

After the students managed to beat the teachers in a wonderful showcase of skipping on the last Monday of Term at Marsden Park in the Miss-a-loop competition, the events of the Oakhurst Campus were unknown at the time of publishing the last RJ Review.

Mothers Day Stall

The School is pleased to offer a Mothers Day Stall for Primary and Pre-K students in 2022 as a fundraising activity. If you would like your child to purchase a gift, please send $5 or $10 (single note preferably) on Wednesday 4 May (MP) and Friday 6 May (Oakhurst). Pre-k students who only attend Mon/Tues will also be given an opportunity to purchase on Tuesday 3 May. Students are limited to one gift, although an exception is made if a child has two mothers (e.g. a stepmother). Please avoid sending coins to avoid them being lost on the day and to assist with end of day cash handling and counting.

A big thank you to the wonderful parents who have volunteered to assist with the stall preparation and sales.
